Sentence to extend for 3 years if mobile seized from jailed inmate

Taking a note on several cases of recovering mobile phones and electronic devices from Delhi’s jail, the government is set to bring an ordinance to take strict action against accused. According to a new law, the sentence of an inmate will be extended for 3 years if any electronic device to be recovered from his or her possession. Recently, Delhi Police busted an extortion racket being operated from Delhi’s Mandoli jail premises.
