Summer arrives in Delhi with record temperature in March

Last day of March witnessed the hottest day in Delhi with 39 degree Celsius in 8 years. Sunday brought a hot day like the month of June. Clearly, it was the beginning of the hot summer. Heatwave to severe heatwave conditions will affect parts of central India the next week, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Severe heatwave conditions in March and in the first week of April is not common, but could happen in isolated cases, IMD scientists said.
