EVM will be blamed after defeat: Naqvi on Opposition’s plea at SC

While speaking on Opposition leaders’ plea at Supreme Court over EVM, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said they have accepted their defeat. “They know that they are going to lose that is why they are making atmosphere so that EVM machines can be blamed for their defeat,” he added. The Supreme Court on Friday sought the Election Commission's response to a plea by Opposition leaders seeking the matching of at least 50 per cent of the Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips with EVMs in each constituency before the Lok Sabha results are declared.
