Question Hour: Why farmers take to street and raise their voice against Modi government?

The Rashtriya Kishan Mahasangh along with 130 other farmers' organisations took to the street to protest against the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and their apathy towards the farmers. They have announced a 10-day-long nationwide strike between June 1 to June 10. During their agitation, farmers will not supply vegetables, milk and other daily essentials to different states all over India. The strike is mainly effective in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab among others.
