Over 23,000 Migratory Birds Found Dead Near Rajasthan’s Sambhar Lake

More than 23,000 birds, most of them migratory, were found dead near Rajasthan’s Sambhar Lake over the last 10 days. The number can reach the 50,000 mark and threat of infection to humans also loom over. On November 10, thousands of birds, including Northern Shoveler, Ruddy Shelduck, Plovers, Avocets, were found dead in the 5-7 km area around Sambhar Lake.
