President Donald Trump was on Thursday impeached for abuse of power by the US House of Representatives. While 230 representatives voted in favour of President Donald Trump’s impeachment, 197 stood against it in the Democratic-majority House. Today’s votes set up a likely January trial in the Republican-controlled Senate. Interestingly, the US president has become the third occupant of the White House in American history to be impeached.
