New Delhi:

The office of Pakistan Prime Minister was evacuated on Monday after a fire broke out on the sixth floor of the building, according to reports in a section of local media. Conflicting media reports even claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan was present on the fifth floor of his office building when the incident took place.

Khan, who was holding a meeting of officials, continued the meeting despite the fire a floor above him, Geo TV reported, citing sources. When informed again about the fire, the report added, the prime minister ensured safe exit of all the staffers before leaving for his Banigala residence.

"The fire broke out in the cabinet block situated at the sixth floor due to short circuit," local media reports quoted sources as saying. No casualties were reported due to the fire which was later doused by the firefighting team of the Pakistani prime minister.
