New Delhi:

Rap star Kanye West on Wednesday showed his ‘love’ for the US President Donald Trump on social media platform Twitter, raising a lot of eyebrows.

West, who was absent from all media action for over a year after cancelling a tour, returned to his and Donald Trump’s favourite platform – Twitter.

The 40-year-old rapper announced two new albums, showcased the sales of his shoe line and displayed his admiration towards Candace Owen – a television commentator.

You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought,” tweeted West, raising a lot of eyebrows.

Donald Trump, who hardly publicly replies to celebrities, retweeted and commented by writing "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"

The 21-time Grammy award winner posted a picture of himself wearing a red cap with Trump’s trademark slogan “Make America Great Again” but also followed up by saying his wife Kim Kardashian wanted him to clear that he does not support the US President on everything.

Earlier in 2005, West said that then president George W. Bush "doesn't care about black people” after the devastating Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.
