New Delhi:

Pakistan's ruling party may field former PM Nawaz Sharif's wife Kulsoom or his daughter Maryam from the seat that fell vacant after he was disqualified by Supreme Court from holding office.

Sharif was disqualified for not disclosing his assets.He ceased to be a member of Parliament. Earlier ruling party of Pakistan has decided that the Sharif's younger brother Shehbaz Sharif would contest election from NA-120in Lahore, vacated by Mr.Sharif so that he can become Prime minister.But later on decided to let him continue his term as CM of Punjab.

The PML-N leader on condition of anonymity, said that party has a lot of respect for Ms. Kulsoom as she is the symbol of courage for many party members who remember the time when she led the party after Mr. Sharif was imprisoned by former military dictator Pervez Musharraf following the 1999 coup.
