New Delhi:

Addressing a flag hoisting ceremony in Islamabad on August 14, Pakistan President Arif Alvi expressed ‘solidarity’ with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. In what can be called an official declaration of cyber-warfare against India, Alvi asked Pakistani citizens to post videos and photographs related to Kashmir. “We will not leave them alone at any step. Kashmiris are our people and we think of their pain as our pain”, Dawn reported President Alvi as saying.

In his address, he said that world was watching how Pakistan stood up with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

In wake of India’s decision to abrogate Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan also unveiled a logo with ‘Kashmir Banega Pakistan’ encrypted on it and marked its Independence Day as Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Mashaal Malik, the wife of detained Kashmiri leader Mohammad Yasin Malik, also addressed the event.

Pak PM Imran Khan is also expected to address a rally in PoK’s Muzaffrabad today.

Earlier, addressing media in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan foreign minister, "Pakistani nation and political leadership is united on the issue of Kashmir and one voice will be sounded on August 14 in support of Kashmiris."

Moreover, Imran Khan had also lashed out at the Narendra Modi-led government and compared the ideology of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to that of the Nazis.

“I am afraid this RSS ideology of Hindu Supremacy, like the Nazi Aryan Supremacy, will not stop in IOK [Indian-occupied Kashmir]; instead it will lead to suppression of Muslims in India & eventually lead to targeting of Pakistan,” he tweeted. “The Hindu Supremacists version of Hitler’s Lebensraum.”

Imran Khan has been on a spree of calling world leaders and seeking support against India’s J-K move. Recently, he dialled King of Bahrain Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to apprise him of the evolving situation in Kashmir after India decided to revoke the State’s special status. He also made a call to his British counterpart Boris Johnson as part of his government’s plan to inform the world leaders about the ongoing ‘Kashmir crisis’.
