New Delhi:

A huge earthquake with potentially a high 7 to 8+ magnitude could strike the Earth on Friday and if it does then the massive destruction is inevitable.

Described as ‘critical geometry’ in the solar system could cause widespread destruction on Earth, a conspiracy theorist has warned. According to earthquake ‘forecasting’ website Ditrianum, Neptune, Venus, Mercury and the Sun are all positions in specific places in the solar system which could effect Earth.

This is because a gravitational tug of war could build tension in the tectonic plates of Earth, which could be unleashed in a devastating fashion. In last week, Frank Hoogerbeets, who runs Ditrianum, had predicted that a potentially civilisation ending tremor can strike Earth between April 30 to May 3.

Hoogerbeets had said, “From April 30 to May 3 will be extremely critical with potentially a high 7 to 8+ magnitude earthquake.”

According to Michigan Tech, anything above magnitude eight is considered a “great earthquake”, and can “totally destroy communities near the epicentre”.

The Dutch researcher reached his conclusion using his Solar System Geometry Index (SSGI) which “is the computation of a dataset for a specific time-frame of values given to specific geometric positions of the planets, the Moon and the Sun”.

He said, “After three years of observations, it became clear that some planetary geometry in the Solar System clearly tends to cause a seismic increase, while other geometry does not.”

However, experts have previously dismissed Hoogerbeets’ claims, saying that there is no way earthquakes can be predicted. John Bellini, a geophysicist at the US Geological Survey (USGS) had said, “We can't predict or forecast earthquakes.

"Sometimes before a large earthquake you'll have a foreshock or two, but we don't know they're foreshocks until the big one happens,” he added.

On the other hand, the USGS also denied that earthquakes can be forecasted. It said, “Neither the USGS nor any other scientists have ever predicted a major earthquake.” “We do not know how, and we do not expect to know how any time in the foreseeable future,” it added.
