New Delhi:

Russian Police have arrested a 17-year-old girl who has been allegedly running ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ suicide group , inciting ‘dozens of vulnerable children to take their lives.

Police said that the teenager issued threats to her victims  to murder them or their family members if they failed to complete tasks she had set including cutting themselves with razor blades and other acts of self harm.

The police have released a video where one can see a team of cops searching the girl’s home in Kamchatka, far-east Russia.

Police have recovered evidences linked to the ‘Blue Whale Challege’ including drawings of figures with wrists cut and a portrait of the inventor of Blue Whale inventor Philipp Budeikin, also known as Philipp Fox.

Russian police have released footage of the 17-year-old accused of masterminding a notorious Blue Whale suicide group, inciting 'dozens' of children to take their own lives.

Colonel Irina Volk of the Russian Interior Ministry said, “The accused was sending tasks — often life-threatening — to each of several dozen members of the group.”

“Teenagers in this group were blackmailed with death threats against them or their relatives for not completing the tasks,” added Volk.

The Police said the teeanager assigned 50 tasks to the members of the lethal group.

The tasks include everything from watching horror movies to waking at strange hours and self harming.

Police said the teenager identified herself as man to the group members.
