New Delhi:
Addiction can be in many forms, but an online addiction to a video game sounds bizarre. We often find people playing popular games like Temple Run, Candy Crush Saga etc. for long hours.
Kelly Nield, 32, racked up debts of more than £45,000 after developing addiction to an online video game. She developed an eight-hours-a-day habit which landed her in deep trouble.
‘You get to the point where you can’t see a way out,’ she said to a news website.
‘I just wanted to find a way to make myself stop and when my thoughts turned dark I knew I had to get help.
But she has now questioned laws which legalize the gambling to be advertised during the daytime.
‘Drugs, alcohol and sex would not be advertised before the watershed but why is it OK to advertise gambling?’ she said.
