Also a website, putinumer.com, which is considered as the main source behind the rumours offered readers advice on how to gauge whether the rumours were true.
A Ukrainian website purportedly working with anti-Russian agenda published a cartoon of Putin lying alongside Soviet state founder Vladimir Lenin in his Red Square mausoleum.
