At least five people died after a mini-aircraft crashed in a shopping mall in the Santa Ana city in California, officials said.
A dual-engine aircraft on Sunday went down near the South Coast Plaza shopping mall in Santa Ana city, as per the Orange County Fire Authority.
The plane crashed into the parking lot of Staples Supercenter, as per reports.
Ambulances and medical assistance have been provided to handle the injured crowd, said the Orange County Fire Authority.
However, it is yet not clear how many people got injured in the incident.
The subjected plane took from the East Bay suburb of Concord, as per the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) records.
A Cessna 414 had called for an emergency landing and crashed in the parking lot of a shopping mall near the John Wayne Orange County Airport, tweeted the Federal Aviation Administration.

An investigation has been launched and more details are awaited.
