    New Delhi:

Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Mohammad Faisal on Thursday said Prime Minister Imran Khan will make a ‘policy statement’ over Kashmir issue during his public address in PoK’s Muzaffarabad. Pakistan is ready for a third-party mediation to resolve the Kashmir issue, said Pak foreign office. “Mediation offers (on Kashmir) are there but India is not ready. We are ready for it. Our considered view is that all problems can be solved through talks” Pak foreign office spokesperson added.

However, India has maintained that Kashmir is India internal and no third-party mediation is required. Last month, PM Modi in his meeting with US President Donald Trump had categorically mentioned that India does not seek to ‘bother’ other for matters pertaining to bilateral considerations.

The Pakistan Foreign Office said, “Kashmir struggle is a process and not an event. We have taken some actions and more actions can follow.”

Moreover, India has got the support from the international community as nations like Russia, Poland, UAE have backed it over Kashmir issue saying it as ‘India’s internal matter’.

In the wake of India’s decision to abrogate Article 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan decided to downgrade its diplomatic relations with India.
