United Nations :

Imran Khan on Friday described Narendra Modi as “The Indian President”, in a slip of tongue by the cricketer-turned Pakistani prime minister. During his marathon speech at the 74th session of the UNGA, Khan goofed up once and called Prime Minister Modi as the “president”.

In April, during a joint press conference with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran, Khan made a gaffe and said Germany and Japan shared a border, becoming a target for trolls. Khan, who was the captain of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup winning team, kept on mentioning about the ties on the border of ‘Germany and Japan’ when he really meant, ‘Germany and France.’

In an embarrassing goof-up on Monday, Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi termed British Prime Minister Boris Johnson "Foreign Minister". Actually, Maleeha Lodhi had put out a picture of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his British counterpart Boris Johnson. In the caption, she wrote: "Prime Minister Imran Khan met British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson this morning."

The Same Old Kashmir Rant

India, for the first time in eight years decided to skip Pakistan at UNGA, the Pakistani prime minister spoke on Kashmir like a 'gully boy'. He refused to realise the fact that the Kashmir move was taken by the Indian Parliament in a democractic way.

While Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's contribution to the world peace and how the country plans to develop in the next five yeras, his Pakistani counterpart raised the issue of Kashmir's special status, the sole reason, he said, he came for.

He also warned of more Pulawama attack type incidents once the clampdown in Kashmir is lifted. "Has PM Modi thought what would happen when the curfew in Kashmir is lifted? Do you think people in Kashmir would accept that you have withdrawn the special status? Thousands of children in Kashmir have been put under detention. They, too, will come out on the streets after the curfew in the state is lifted and the Army will shoot them," he said.
