New Delhi:

After reports of a split from Prince William and Kate Middleton and the Queen confirming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will now have their own household, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have moved to a new Instagram account with the handles, @sussexroyal.

Owing to their huge popularity, they have set a record in gaining followers. Guinness World Records said that the new Instagram account opened by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan is the fastest-ever to gain 1 million followers.

The account, which was opened Tuesday, reached the 1 million mark in under six hours, easily beating a record held by Korean pop sensation Kang Daniel. The account is now 3.2 million followers strong.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared their very first post on the photo-sharing application. “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal."- Harry & Meghan,” they wrote alongside the picture.

The account will serve as a place where the royal couple can update their followers on major news and promote causes close to their hearts.

Today The Duke of Sussex met with families, children and young adults at @Ymcaenglandandwales in South Ealing as a continuation of his dedicated work in the mental health space. “There continues to be huge progress in smashing the stigma that surrounds mental health, but let’s keep normalising the conversation. Let’s keep reminding each other that it’s okay to not be okay, and to listen to each other. After all, how we think determines how we act, how we feel, and how we treat ourselves and those around us.” -The Duke of Sussex It takes courage, strength and honesty, but talking through your mental health issues often becomes the key to dealing with them. Just like physical exercise, which we all know is good for us; we have to care for our minds as much as we do for our bodies. 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lives. It is a part of all of us. Have an unashamed conversation on how you feel, be empowered to share your story and you will see you are not alone. After Prince Harry and Meghan moved to a new Insta account, the official Twitter handle of the Kensington Palace changed their photo with a family picture featuring Prince William, Kate William and with their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The family photograph has previously been seen in their official Christmas card last year.

The Sussexes are expected to be moving into Frogmore Cottage on the estate of Windsor Estate in a few weeks. The first baby of the royal couple is due this Spring, which means that Meghan and Harry’s firstborn may arrive anytime now.
