New Delhi:

With a police cover thrown around her, a Hyderabad-based woman journalist began trekking to the Sabarimala hill on Friday morning. She had requested security to go to the Sannidhanam to carry out professional commitments. Another woman also began her climb to Lord Ayyappa's shrine in the morning.

If she successfully manages to climb the shrine then the journalist, who was in her late 20s as per reports, would be the first woman from the menstruating age group to visit the Sabarimala temple of Lord Ayyappa after the Supreme Court order permitting women of all age groups to enter the shrine.
