Islamabad:

Police in Pakistan’s largest city today claimed to have killed three suspected terrorists including a top militant commander.

According to reports, Pakistan most wanted terrorist and Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) chief Mulla Fazalullah have been killed in an airstrike near Af-Pak border.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rao Anwar said that the militants had clashed with security forces when they raided the Jamali Goth area of Karachi. He said the terrorists had fired rockets on the raiding party.

“In the exchange of fire three militants were killed, one of them is a top militant commander and we will release details of him later on,” he said.

Police also claimed to have seized weapons and explosives in the raid.

“More than 400 policemen have been carrying out an operation in the city,” the SSP said.
