New Delhi:
A medium intensity earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale hit Uttarakhand late tonight. According to National Centre for Seismology, the epicenter of the quake was Pithoragarh in the state and it struck around 23:30 PM at the depth of 15 km.
There were no immediate report of any casualty. Last month, an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale had hit Myanmar, tremors of which shook the northeast, several parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and even Delhi and NCR.
Jolts were also felt in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
