A 21-year-old woman hanged herself in Tamil Nadu after morphed pictures of her were posted on Facebook. Vinupriya was found dead on Monday in Salem, where she lived with her parents. In the suicide note, she laments that nobody believed that it was not her who posted the pictures, not even her parents.
“What's the use of living when my father and mother do not trust me?” the letter reads. Vinupriya graduated from college in Chemistry a year ago.
Vinupriya’s photos were posted in her name by someone. The victim’s family have accused police of not acting on complaint filed by them, asking to remove her obscene photos. Police have asked Facebook to share details of the person who posted pictures of her online.
