A Bollywood based park is all set to be inaugurated this October on Dubai-Abu Dhabi border. A part of an integrated 30.5 million square feet theme park, the main aim of the filmy park is to provide an authentic experience to its global visitors.
It is part of Dubai Parks and Resorts, which is expected to become the Middle East's largest integrated theme park resort. It will be spread across 1.7 million square feet, it is also said to be the first of its kind and aims at providing an authentic Bollywood experience.
The park, based on the sights and sounds of Bollywood, will feature cinematic rides along with themed attractions spread across five zones - Bollywood Boulevard, Mumbai Chowk, Rustic Ravine, Royal Plaza and Bollywood Film Studios featuring a Hall of Heroes.
The park will focus films like 'Mughal-e- Azam', 'Sholay', 'Lagaan' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.' The park is also set to feature an open-air venue 'Rangmanch', for Indian village style song and dance performances.
Other additional attractions will include 'Rajmahal, a 850-seat cinema theatre, which will screen a two hour-long Broadway show and 'Mumbai Express', a show that will celebrate the essence of Mumbai in films.
The park will also offer six themed restaurants that will be capturing India's mouth-watering cuisine and eight retail outlets stocking quintessential filmy fare.
"There is a zone under the Indian colonial theme where all the Indian themed restaurants are housed," Vinit Shah, Chief Destination Management Officer, Dubai Parks and Resorts, said during a presentation here today.
