Who are 21 AAP MLAs whose appointment as parliamentary secretaries set aside by HC

In a huge jolt to the AAP government, the High Court on Thursday set aside the appointment of 21 MLAs of the state government as parliamentary secretaries. The parliamentary secretaries were appointed by the Kejriwal government on March 13, 2015.

Let’s look at the 21 AAP MLA who are in trouble:

 Alka Lamba- After serving the Congress in various capacities for 20 years, she quit to join the AAP on 26 December 2013. In February 2015, Lamba was elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly from Chandni Chowk.

 Praveen Kumar- The AAP MLA from Jangpura constituency may face disqualification.

Sharad Kumar- The Nerela MLA was also elected as Parliament Secretary of Revenue. Earlier, Chauhan was with Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He was elected as a councillor from MCD, Ward 4, Bakhtawarpur in 2007. Chauhan switched to the AAP from the BSP, just before the 2015 elections.

Adarsh Shastri- The MLA from Dwarka is elected as Parliamentary Secretary of Department of Information Technology(DoIT). After serving corporate industry in various MNCs for 17 years, Adarsh left his job as the Sales Head at Apple India to join AAP.

Madan Lal- The MLA from Kasturba Nagar constituency may face disqualification. He was President, Saket Court Bar Association.

Shiv Charan Goel- The lawmaker from Moti Nagar may face trouble.

Sanjeev Jha- The MLA from Burari constituency was been appointed as Parliamentary Secretary in Transport Department.

Sarita Singh- The MLA from Rohtas Nagar is also the incumbent president of Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti. She was one of the six MLAs who were selected in Sixth Legislative Assembly of Delhi.

Naresh Yadav- The MLA from Mehrauli constituency may face disqualification in coming days. He replaced Parvesh Verma.

Jarnail Singh- The MLA represents Tilak Nagar. He is a businessman, and was involved with the Jan Lokpal movement. He contested the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections and defeated Rajiv Babbar.

Rajesh Gupta- The MLA represents Wazirpur and elected as Parliamentary Secretary, Health.

Anil Kumar Bajpai- The MLA from Gandhi Nagar defeated Arvinder Singh Lovely in 2015 polls.

Som Dutt- He was elected as an MLA from Sadar Bazar constituency.

Avtar Singh- He represents the Kalkaji and defeated Harmeet Singh. He was businessman before joining the AAP.

Vijender Garg- He represents Rajinder Nagar and was a businessman.

Jarnail Singh - The MLA from Rajouri Garden gained media attention when he threw a shoe at India's Home Minister P Chidambaram during a press conference on 7 April 2009. He was a scribe before joining politics.

Kailash Gahlot- He represents the Najafgarh constituency and defeated Ajeet Singh Kharkhari. He was lawyer before joining politics.  

Manoj Kumar- The Kondli MLA defeated BJP’s Dushyant Kumar Gautam in 2015 to win the Delhi polls. He was also held in allegedly cheating and land grabbing case.

Nitin Tyagi- The Laxmi Nagar MLA defeated Vinod Kumar Binny to bag the seat. He was a businessman before joining AAP.

Rajesh Rishi- The MLA from Janakpuri is also Parliamentary Secretary (Health). He defeated BJP’s Jagdish Mukhi.

Sukhbir Singh Dalal- The Mundka MLA was a former central government employee.
