CISF came to the rescue of a Delhi Metro commuter who had forgotten his bag containing over Rs. 2.76 lakh cash and other valuables in a running train coach. 

The CISF security personnel showed amazing presence of mind and dedication while restoring the passenger’s belongings to him.

Officials said the incident was reported on Friday night about 9:00 PM at Janakpuri West station when a passenger informed on-duty CISF staff that he forgot picking his bag on the train going towards Dwarka Sector-21 and alighted at the said station.

The officials immediately alerted their units deployed at the stations ahead and the bag was de-boarded at Dwarka Sector-8 station.

The bag contained Rs 2,76,559 cash, 16 silver coins and two bank cheques and was restored to the passenger after due verification, they said.
