A disturbing video showing a Texas mother kicking her son out of home has gone viral on the internet. What is even more shocking is the reason for doing so. The 7-year-old was thrown out of the house by his own mother because he voted in favour of Donald Trump in a mock election at his school.
The woman posted the video on Facebook last week after which it caught the attention of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, KPRC reported.
“Get out,” the woman can be heard yelling at the child as the kid sobs in a hallway. “Your suitcase is packed by the door. Been packed since 10 a.m. this morning,” she shouts.
The boy can be seen holding a cardboard sign that reads, “My mom kicked me out because I voted for Donald Trump.” “So when the people see you outside, they know why you’re standing out there,” she tells him.
She asks the boy why he voted for Trump, to which he replies that because he saw him on TV a lot. Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls says his office has launched an investigation into the incident.
”As a parent, I find the video appalling. As your Sheriff, I have ensured the child is safe,” Nehls said in a Facebook post. “We all agree the video is absolutely disgusting and that child should not have been subjected to such awful behavior by his Mother,” Nehls concluded.
