New Delhi:

Story: The bride-to-be on a wedding shopping finds love of her life and is ready to do anything to share remaining life with him.

Review:
Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is a total filmi drama comprises of fun, emotion, love and romance.

The film finds its base from the Shah Rukh-Kajol starrer epic love saga ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ and reminds you of Kareena Kapoor in ‘Jab we met’.

Infact, bride-to-be Kavya (Alia Bhatt) dreams of wearing a Kareena style designer lehnga on her wedding and to find it she visits Delhi. In a quest to arrange money for her dream dress, she meets Humpty Sharma (Varun Dhawan), who is cool and ‘kameena by nature’ but have the sweetest heart in town.

In between party-sharty, chit chats and shopping they fall in love with each other and are now ready to face anything which can stop them from being together.

Till this point the story runs smooth and seems enjoyable but beyond this point laughter riot punches in as Humty Sharma visits Kavya’s house with his two and true friends to please the austere father, who is all set to marry his daughter with a so called superman NRI Angad (Siddharth Shukla).

Though, there is not much to say about the predictable plot it is worth mentioning about the performances of the actors which keeps you glued to the screen.

Varun Dhawan is energetic as expected and has delivered one of the cutest acts of his career. Recently, the actor had said that he is not ready for intense roles like Ek Villain. Well he shouldn’t try them either as he looks perfect in jolly characters. Alia Bhatt is cute but disappoints as most of the time you will find glimpse of Kareena Kapoor in her acting which kills her own unique identity. Siddharth Shukla, who got a chance to show off things on big screens, is looking super-hot and has played his part to the perfection. Ashutosh Rana has simply added stars to the movie with his flawless expressions.

Apart from the lead characters, there are side characters that have played an important role in the movie to keep it interesting. Specially, Humpty’s two friends – Shonty and Poplu – have grinded the plot with many humorous dialogues.

In terms of music, film does not have anything special to offer. There are two songs – Saturday Saturday and Samjhawan – which are topping the charts but since they are not the unique ones we won’t credit them to the film.

Alia Bhatt’s 'Samjhawan' unplugged version

Final verdict: Humpty Sharma and his Dulhania straight away lands in your heart and conquers it.
