By-polls: Ruling parties leading in three Lok Sabha seats

The Three Lok Sabha Seats Are In Vadodara (Gujarat), Vacated By Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh) And Medak (Telangana) While 11 Assembly Constituencies Are In UP, Nine In Gujarat, Four In Rajasthan, Two In West Bengal, Five In Northeastern States And One Each In Chhattisgarh And Andhra Pradesh.

BJP candidate Ranjanben Bhatt today surged ahead of rival Congress nominee Narendra Rawat in Vadodara Lok Sabha seat, vacated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while the ruling Samajwadi Party and TRS were leading in a seat each in UP and Telanganga where bypolls were held.

Bypolls were held in three Lok Sabha seats in Vadodara (Gujarat), Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh) and Medak (Telangana) on September 13.

An election officer said in Vadodara that "Ranjanben Bhatt now has a lead of 2,34,377 votes against her rival Congress nominee from Vadodara Lok Sabha seat at the end of 12 rounds of counting."

In Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, SP supremo Mulayam Singh's grand nephew Tej Pratap was leading over his nearest rival BJP's Prem Singh Shakya.

The ruling TRS has established a lead in the counting of votes for by-election to Medak Lok Sabha constituency.

TRS's T K Prabhakar Reddy was leading by a huge margin of more than 1.5 lakh votes in Medak constituency over rival Congress candidate V Sunita Laxma Reddy at end of seventh round of counting for Lok Sabha bypoll.
