New Delhi:

On his 64th birthday, Narendra Modi welcomes a special guest – Chinese President Xi Jinping, who will visit Ahmedabad on September 17.

Since it’s Modi’s home state, we can expect something special to happen and ofcourse the Chinese President will get a warm welcome by his Indian counterpart.

Modi had met Xi, who represents the world’s second most powerful country in economic and military terms, during the BRICS summit earlier this year.

After meeting Modi at BRICS summit in Fortaleza, Brazil, for the first time, Xi had said that he felt like he was meeting an old friend. This indicates that the two leaders have developed a friendly relation in a very short time, in fact in just a quick meeting.

Developing peaceful relationship with China can help Modi earn a huge legacy. This might be a reason for Modi to invite Xi to his home state on his birthday. It may be a bid to lay the foundation for a breakthrough in near future.

Both India and China are willing to do big things together. The Chinese Consul General in Mumbai has reportedly said that China could invest $100 billion in India in next five years. The amount is quite bigger than what the Japanese had offered ($35 billion).

Modi has successfully drawn the attention of Japan, China and the United States in just 100 days of his governance. Now, we expect he would cash in on the opportunity to the fullest.

We wish PM Narendra Modi a very happy birthday and hope his meeting with the Chinese President turns out to be a fruitful one.
