New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the cynosure of all eyes after making a remarkable win in the Lok Sabha polls 2014. While people vowed his victory with a hope of ‘Acche din’, Bollywood gave mixed reactions.

First and the worst reaction came from much famous Mahesh Bhatt, who termed India’s PM ‘communal’. "I don't want to see Narendra Modi as PM, he does not deserve to be the prime minister," he had said once.

There are people like Kamaal R Khan, who had tweeted to leave both Twitter and country if Modi gets the prime power. On May 16, the fate took him on his way out of India.

“It's my challenge to entire world that if @narendramodi ji will become next PM then I shall not leave only twitter but India also forever," KRK had tweeted.

Not just small names, biggies like Raja Murad had also slammed Modi for saying no to the skull cap, which Muslims wear as a part of their religion. Modi had in 2011 refused to put on a skull cap during his Sadbhavana fast in Ahmedabad.

Apart from bitter religious taste, he also faced some criticism over his tea selling profession.

Rakhi Sawant said that if the Gujarat Chief Minister can run the country by selling tea, why can't she do being an item girl.

The echo against Modi also sounded in South, when famous actor Chiranjeevi said, "Modi is a tyrant. He is a Hitler." The actor also accused him of deliberately sidelining senior BJP leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani to come in the spotlight.

While Modi was getting thrashed on one side, he was also getting buttered up on the other.

In Indian politics, name of stars do add advantage. Modi got glued with the legendary scriptwriter Salim Khan and his son, the actor Salman Khan, both Muslims, in support of him.

The duo launched a version of Modi’s official website in Urdu.

While one Khan battalion was backing Modi, King Khan showed his support and praised him for winning the polls by a huge margin.

SRK’s close friend Preity Zinta also came in support and said, "I'm Confident that India will prosper, be safe & develop like never before. History will mark this day in GOLD #Indiandreamshines."

Apart from just big names of Bollywood India’s 14th PM was also praised by the living legend Rajinikanth.

"Everyone knows that Narendra Modi is a strong leader and able administrator. He is my well wisher and I am his well wisher. I wish him all the best for his future. All the time God should be always with him. I pray God whenever he thinks, whatever he thinks should happen," said Rajinikanth.

Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi had voiced his support for NaMo and said, "I feel that the country needs Narendra Modi today. He is a vikas purush, he has proved his work in Gujarat. People are raising questions against him, but I think Modiji talks less and works more".
