Incheon:
Abhinav Bindra, India’s Olympic gold medallist, announced on Monday that he is retiring on Tuesday, September 23 at Incheon Asian Games where he will compete in a last match.
He had recently announced that it would be his last Commonwealth Games.
Bindra has won Olympic, World and Commonwealth Games gold medals but has not won at Asiad. He would be looking to bag his first Commonwealth medal on Tuesday.
“Tomorrow will mark the end of my professional shooting life ! I will however still shoot , compete as a hobby shooter training twice a week,†Bindra tweeted on Monday.
However he said he will try to be at 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
