People look to glam-up their dresses, food and even homes today. Some may call it a “show-off”, but people really want to make their homes look the best on Diwali. So, here we bring you some useful tips on glamming-up your home this Diwali:

Designer diyas

One cannot imagine Diwali without glowing diyas. Why not add some glamour touch to your diyas this Diwali, instead of keeping them simple?

Paint them with your favourite colours and if you are good at painting, you an even show your creativity by making simple designs on them. No a good painter? Fret not, ready-made colourful and designer diyas are easily available in the markets these days.

Rangoli

Create a Rangoli at your home, don’t worry even if you are not good at making it. Even if you are making it for the first time, you can do it easily. Just search a simple Rangoli design on internet, draw the design using a chalk and fill it up. Making rangoli using flowers is even simpler.

Paper Lanterns

Paper Lanterns are easy to make. Hang them all over your house and make it vibrant. You can even go for ready-made ones to save your time.

Flower bowls and floating diyas

Take a big bowl, fill water in it. Add rose petals and other flowers. Keep it on the center table of your drawing room. Keep few floating diyas and light them, you will get a perfect combination of fragrance and light.

Cleanliness is must

Use washed and clean curtains, bedsheets, rugs and mats on Diwali. Make sure your house is clean and dust-free.

Put kids to work

Ask your kids to sketch on a big chart on Diwali topic. Children will love to do it. Give this chart paper with the title “Happy Diwali” a room on your entrance door.

Fragrance

Light a dhoop or incense stick in each room or put some fresh flowers into a bowl of water for a heavenly smell in your sweet home.
