New Delhi:

A day after Diwali, Farah Khan showcased Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan with Happy New Year. As expected, the script delivered an ambiguity but overall the film was a full-time entertainer spangled with mind-blowing Boman Irani and Abhishek Bhachchan.

On one hand Charlie (Shah Rukh Khan) with his eight packs keeps girls cheering and on the other Mohini (Deepika Padukone) keeps boys grooving with her awe-inspiring dance numbers. Apart from them what will make you money worthy are comic acts by Boman Irani and junior Bhachchan.

Apart from lead actors, movie comes with an offering of multiple big screen names in cameo roles. Anupam Kher, who was recently criticised for choosing film like ‘Sonali Cable’, showed his stardom with mere 5-6 minutes of screen presence. Both Vishal Dadlani with Anurag Kashyap are fun-to-watch as they judge the auditions for team India going to WDC (World Dance Championship).

Farah Khan tried to put every funny fact attached to her life, including brother Sajid Khan, who is seen directing his never to be released masterpieces of Bollywood.

Now, you must be thinking to book the tickets as soon as possible. Wait! Everything looks good in a limit and that stays with Happy New Year too. The film definitely has moments which will make you giggle but sometimes you will actually feel – ‘Oh Man! Why I am here’.

Alert! All those who thinks Shah Rukh Khan over reacts, you might end up feeling the same as movie will take you back to the memories of Chak De India! And will also chaff you to the feeling – how interesting we Indians are. No patriotism for sure!

In terms of new offering, Vivaan Shah is the new name who has shared the major area of screen space with renowned Bollywood actors. And Naseeruddin Shah’s younger son has proved his worth by playing flawless character of hacker.

Claiming three and half hours of your life movie gives you several reasons to like and hate it. But what makes your day is watching Shah Rukh Khan playing with his youngest son AbRam and wife Gauri dancing in the end.

Now, let’s also talk about songs which are already topping charts. Apart from one or two songs you might feel songs are not great in ear but with visuals on 90mm screen, the perception overturns. Songs look relevant and also classy at times.

Final verdict: Overall the film is a masala entertainer! You just need money and no mind to make your day and Shah Rukh Khan rich. Enjoy your Diwali with Happy New Year.
