New Delhi:
Vandana Kataria, part of Indian women hockey team which won a bronz medal at the Asian Games was today presented a cash award of Rs 2.51 lakh by Haridwar-based spiritual organisation Shantikunj.
Handing the cheque to Vandana, Chief of the institution Pranav Pandya described the hockey player as the pride of Haridwar, a spokesman from Shantikunj said.
Pandya said she is expected now to win a gold for the country at an international sporting event.
