New Delhi:

All mysteries about Aamir Khan’s character come to rest as PK released worldwide on December 19, 2014. The film presented all illogical things which Indian society has engraved as the essential part of their lives. One man PK, obviously, not from this gola (planet) as they call it, tries to entangle himself with the society and kick starts his hunt for the real God.

Since, it’s a re-collaboration of Aamir Khan and Raj Kumar Hirani after 3 Idiots, expectations goes peak high but both the acts are incomparable as the idea, the motive and specially the lesson goes on two different notes.

3 Idiots was a tale of friendship, PK is about love and the evils that are eating our society in the name of God.

This might sound like Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer Oh My God! But, don’t pre judge it as the innocence is the gear, script is the accelerator and director is the driver for this film who tries to shun the boundaries humans have created around them. One must to be pointed thing comes as the ‘lesson’ which movie presents on a parallel note of humour and certainly not sticks with God, which we had seen in Oh My God.

In movies like this which runs over script, acting plays the second most important part to keep the users engaged. But, that does not liberalize any actor from performing and PK is one remarkable movie which would be remembered for Aamir’s one of the finest acts he has performed so far. Even Sachin Tendulkar, master blaster of cricket, had said the same thing after watching the special screening of the movie.

After Aamir, it was Anushka Sharma who played the major on-screen role and every frame pulled the best out from her. Justifying every notch from her journalist character she was looking adorable and beautiful at many times. Sushant Singh Rajput who walked Chaar Kadam in the film came as refreshment but in a very less amount, a few more minutes of him must have added more joy. Two other actors who were making your film worth watching were Sanjay Dutt, who made every frame colourful with his attire and also dialogues, and Saurabh Shukla, who played the character of Tejasvi Baba.

The only actor who Mr Hirani failed to utilize completely was Boman Irani. The ‘Don’ actor has all capabilities to run a movie on his shoulders but his role in PK did not let him open his wings to the maximum but still managed to bring smiles and cheers with his not so important role.

With five star cast and an engaging script, songs just play and the rest work get done by its own. Similarly, PK’s songs were not outstanding but were cute in terms of picturisation. Lying on track of 3 Idiots, this Hirani film also presented a wide variety of songs dealing with love, emotions and fun factor too. Chaar Kadam is my ear favourite and Tharki Chokro is my eye favourite from the film.

With so much of offerings, there is no reason why this movie should be missed in this season of vacations. With a refreshed flavor, the film is a must watch.

Final Verdict: With no comparison to other movies, it’s a great drama with a lesson. But with an analyst in mind it’s not an outstanding movie. It’s for all who are Aamir fans and who are not.
