Chairman of the Board of Management at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Dr. Ajay Swaroop, on Friday said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who has been hospitalised for lower respiratory tract infection, is stable and recovering well.
"Congress president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital yesterday evening with lower respiratory tract infection and some breathing difficulty for further treatment and observation. According to the morning health bulletin, her condition is stable and she is recovering," said Dr. Swaroop.
"She is under the care of Dr. Arup Kumar Basu, who is the senior consultant and chairman of the respiratory medicine, and he is supported by his team. According to their morning round, she is stable and showing signs of recovery," he added.
The Congress president was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital yesterday with lower respiratory tract infection and some breathing difficulties.
