New Delhi:

A comparison between ‘Narendra Modi vs Arvind Kejriwal’ has always set the tongues wagging but this time it is for real.

With Modi government’s celebrations of one year in office on May 26, Arvind Kejriwal’s 100 days in power (May 24) has failed to attract attention. But the Delhi Chief Minister surely knows how to stay in limelight.

On Friday, he again grabbed news headlines for calling BJP a ploy party which has lost to AAP again in Delhi.

The statement on Twitter was made after Ministry of Home Affairs vested more powers in the hands of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung by issuing a notification regarding UT’s administration.

Taking a strong objection to MHA's notification regarding UT's administration, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday remarked that BJP has lost again.

The decision came in the backdrop of constitutional rifts between Delhi Chief Minister and Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung in the national capital.

Time and again, Kejriwal has been making a strong pitch for his government's performance.

He has maintained, “His party is better than the Centre and that popularity of the former had grown unlike the latter, which is battling negative perceptions.”

However, if we make a comparison, then it would not be wrong to say that AAP government will be remembered more for controversies than reforms.

The removal of senior AAP leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav is just a recent phenomenon. The complete crisis was witnessed not just by Delhi but by entire nation.

Then AAP's 'media bashing' and circular issued by Delhi Chief Minister received a whiff and was taken aback by the ruling government.

The ongoing tussle between the state Government and the office of Lieutenant Governor over appointment of secretaries is no hidden struggle.

People in the capital, however, feel that the problem of law and order is not being dealt with properly.

Many also believe that AAP should also stop blaming BJP for things instead they should come up with a solution.

Then, AAP must also clean its internal politics and structure to concentrate on Delhi’s development and growth.

However, unlike the party’s last year’s 49-day stint, this time the party is going stable and steady. Only Kejriwal needs to be pro-active and be clear in his party’s solutions and strategies. He should remember that the people of Delhi have elected him as their leader and if he wants to continue serving them he should listen to the mass and stay away from hipocracy, ego and anarchy.

Talking about Modi@365, the Prime Minister has been able to bring in reforms, revamp India’s foreign image, and protect food security of millions of Indians on the global arena.

However, his government's pro-business policy and pro-corporate impression has hurt the environment and the poor.

Thus in lieu of all practical considerations, 100 days are too early to give a mandate on AAP’s work in the capital, especially in comparison to Modi government’s 365 days at Centre.

But, in wake of all respective conditions, the national capital has already started showing signs of impatience. On the other hand Modi has also been criticised of his frequent foreign trips, unable to bring back Black Money stashed abroad, rising fuel costs and controversies over land bill.

So, finally the question remains? Who’s the winner? Is it Kejriwal or Modi? Only time will tell.

Kejriwal government is completing 100 days on May 24 and on May 26, Modi government is finishing one year in power.
