Chasing 386 to win the series, Sri Lanka were all out for 268 in their second innings. India won after 22 years in Sri Lankan soil and away series since 2011.

Hosts Lanka suffered early blow as  Selva departed early at a personal score of 27, leaving his side in a spot of bother. Selva came Thirimane who also left his side in haste at personal score 12.

Day 4 Conclusion

Chasing 386 to win the series, Sri Lanka were 67 for three in their second innings at stumps on the fourth day of the third cricket Test against India. The three-match series is locked 1-1 with both teamwinning one match each.

Skipper Virat Kohli left India in haste on fourth day of Colombo test on a personal score of 21(63).

 India which was on a high after bowling out hosts at a score of 201, suffered huge blows by the end of rain curtailed Day 3. In a challenge to their batting India is expected play safe at the beginning of the day 4 today.

Sri Lanka were 47/5 in their first innings at lunch on the third day of the third and final cricket Test against India. India all out for 312. It was a good day 2 for India as Pujara and Mishra switched 104 runs partnership. Pujara windmills his bat, gets the blood pumping through his legs with a little jog, checks if those straight drives are in order. He looks up and sees blue skies and bright sunshine. Looks to his left, and sees Ishant Sharma towering like a palm tree.

The pitch is good for fast bowlers and will test the Lankan batsman. 

Sri Lanka's slide, after facing a mere 18 overs, happened after Pujara (145 not out) guided his side to 312 all out (100.1 overs) in the first innings. Pujara became the 45th batsman in Test cricket to carry his bat through an innings. The hosts were in trouble very quickly as they tried to negotiate nearly an hour's play before lunch.
