New Delhi:

And the wait is over! Comedian Kapil Sharma’s first Bollywood movie 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' has arrived on silver screens. Sticking to the genre he has already mastered in, the film turns out to be an overdose of comedy.

I say overdose not because of the content but because of the length, which could have been chopped to keep things crispy and quirky. The problem with KKPK lies in vibrancy which can be noticed on paper but during the act things seem monotonous and at last kills the humour it had created otherwise.

Kapil as SRK (Shiv, Ram and Kishan) is hilarious in almost every comic scene but when it comes to romance and emotions, it’s his imperfection in delivery that works and uplifts the act.

Directed by Abbas Mastan, the film is a brilliant way to visit 90’s just for the price of a ticket. From fancy cars to tacky fashion the film binds all that mesmerized the era.

Kumar Shiv Ram Kishan aka Bholu (Sharma) is a rich dude who has acquired three wives by mistake and is facing the aftermath of promise to keep his mother’s words – ‘he should never break a woman's heart or home.’ He also has a girlfriend Deepika (Elli Avram), who is his one and only love. In a bid to stay true to his girlfriend and mother’s promise, Bholu gets saddled amid three wives and to save him he has a lawyer friend (Varun Sharma).

While first half of the film focuses on highlighting the reasons why Bholu has three wives, second half goes a step ahead as he tries to make his girlfriend his fourth wife. Some would find it illogical but those are the ones who functions in a logical world.

Before we proceed further and talk about acting of the characters let me mention it here that the film ends up with the feeling one would get after watching three non-stop 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' episodes.

Now, let’s talk about the acting. Do we really care on how Kapil and his guests are acting during his TV show? Exactly, you got it.

It takes a special courage to write, act and then also release such film. Abbas-Mastan and Kapil come with such daring. I am still wondering how difficult it would have been for immensely talented actors like Supriya Pathak and Sharat Saxena to give their best in movie like this.

Final verdict: If you are the one who enjoys 90s genre or can watch Kapil Sharma performing on anything then this is the film you must watch.
