Five years back when Aishwarya got married, many came out questioning her future in Bollywood. And a year later when Aaradhya came, extra fat came as a nightmare for both Aishwarya and fans.

She worked hard to be back in shape and opening scene of the film flaunts it well enough to give fans a sigh of relief.

No, she is not glamorous in here. Instead, she is a lawyer and mother. Since no good people can afford her fees, she is on a mission to save the guiltiest.

The film begins when her daughter becomes a victim of her profession. The little girl gets kidnapped and as ransom Aishwarya needs to free a criminal alleged of rape, who has been sentenced to death.

Her fight for daughter is a bundle of emotions, drama and more drama. Aishwarya is one hell of a woman with her super dramatic avatar in Jazbaa. Irrfan Khan is a savior!

Irrfan Khan plays the character of cop Yohaan, who is suspended and on the verge of being arrested for taking bribes. His only hope to stay in department rests with school time friend and lawyer Anuradha Verma (Aishwarya Rai).

Thanks to Irrfan Khan’s rugged look and flawless act that the film gets intriguing and interesting at many parts.

The film doesn’t sticks to them; it also features Jackie Shroff and Shabana Azmi in key roles. Both saving themselves from getting wasted in the script, a bit of more involvement would have done the job.

Another flaw remains with packaging of ‘Jazbaa’. Sequences are shot good but the way they have been stitched together pulls the film on negative side.

Final verdict: Jazbaa may fail as a film but Aishwarya Rai and Irrfan Khan’s individual performances definitely makes it a one time watch.
