New Delhi:
Maharashtra Cabinet minister Eknath Khadse joins the league of leaders who are slamming Aamir Khan for his remarks on intolerance, he went a step further and said we thought Aamir is ACP Rathod but he turned out to be Gulfam Hasan of Sarfarosh.
Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse also added that Aamir's comments were part of "conspiracy" to defame the government.
"The statement made by Aamir Khan is a conspiracy to defame the government, which will not be tolerated," Khadse said while speaking at a book release function in Mumbai.
"When the country gave fame and money, nobody saw your religion and caste," the BJP minister said.
Referring to some "unfortunate" incidents in other states, Khadse said, "Not a single word is being said or raised in those states, where the alleged incidents took place, but a controversy is being created in Maharashtra and this is a clear attempt to defame the BJP government."
"There were protests over the unfortunate incidents from various quarters and we also condemn them. But it is wrong to say that the entire country has become intolerant," Khadse added.
