Okinawa Scooters has recently launched Lite slow speed electric scooter in India. The introductory price for the Okinawa Lite in India has been set at Rs 59,990 (ex-showroom). The electric scooter is available in Sparkle White and Sparkle Blue colour options. It is worth mentioning here that Okinawa Lite is a youth and women-centric scooter.
Okinawa Lite e-scooter is powered by a 250-watt BLDC motor. It comes equipped with a detachable 1.25 kWh lithium-ion battery with an anti-theft battery lock. According to a report of India Today, the battery, which can be charged through a micro charger, takes between 4-5 hours for a full charge.
Importantly, both the motor and battery come with a three-year warranty. The maximum speed of the new Lite is 25 kmph, while the claimed range is 50-60 km per charge. Coming to the dimensions, the Lite is 1,790 mm in length, 710 mm in width and 1,190 mm in height. The seat height and ground clearance are 740 mm and 160 mm, respectively.
Okinawa Lite boasts a telescopic suspension upfront and dual tube spring type hydraulic shockers at the rear. It further houses 10-inch aluminium alloys with a disc at the front and drum at the rear. The e-scooter also comes with a regenerative braking feature.
The new Okinawa Lite electric scooter is loaded with many features including an LED projector lamp with DRL, digital speedometer, auto handle lock, auto motor lock, mobile charging, and power switch, among others. The tail light is also an LED unit.
