Tesla’s Cybertruck Set To Join Dubai Police Fleet In 2020

Last week, Elon Musk’s Tesla unveiled its maiden electric truck, also known as Cybertruck, at an event in Los Angeles, California. Within three days of the launch, Tesla’s new electric pickup truck secured almost 200,000 orders. And now, Tesla's Cybertruck will join the official fleet of the Dubai Police in 2020. Yes, you read it right.

The official twitter handle of Dubai Police posted a modified photo of the electric pickup truck with the official livery of the police force. With this, the Cybertruck will become the first Tesla car to join the exotic fleet of Dubai Police, which currently includes models like Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One-77, BMW i8, Ferrari LaFerrari, Lamborghini Aventador, and the Lykan HyperSport, among others.

The introductory price for the Cybertruck has been set at $39,000. The Cybertruck will hit the roads by late 2021, but preorders can be made at tesla.com/cybertruck. However, the company's website shows that an immediate payment of $100 is required to reserve an order for the Cybertruck.

Cybertruck seats six adults. The body of Cybertruck is made of ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel. The payload has a 3,500-pound capacity, with 100 cubic feet of storage space. The truck’s vault length is 6.5 feet, and it will have 4-inch suspension in either direction. A 17-inch touchscreen sits in the center of the dashboard. The truck also has an onboard air compressor and onboard outlets.

There are three versions of the truck available:

The price for the single motor rear-wheel-drive with 250 miles of range, 7,500-pound towing capacity, and 0-60 mph capabilities in under 6.5 seconds, has been set at $39,900.

The price for the dual-motor all-wheel-drive with 300 miles of range, 10,000-pound towing capacity, and 0-60 mph in under 4.5 seconds, has been set at $49,900.

The price for the triple motor all-wheel-drive with 500 miles of range, 14,000-pound towing capacity, and 0-60 mph in under 2.9 seconds, has been set at $69,900.
