Kerala Lok Sabha Elections 2019 results will be out today. The voting for the Southern state of Kerala was conducted in the third phase. The general polls in Kerala saw a triangular fight between the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist), Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the 20 parliamentary seats.
Some of the prominent names from Kerala are Shashi Tharoor, Rahul Gandhi, Anto Antony and Alphons Kannanthanam.

Former chief minister and veteran CPM leader VS Achuthanandan stated that the election results are shocking."It's similar to making a thief stand guard," he wrote on Facebook. He added that it is heartening that the people of Kerala have shut the doors on the BJP.
Congress candidates Dean Kuriakose and TN Prathapan register comprehensive victories in Idukki and Thrissur constituencies respectively.

Kerala has been in news since last year over Sabarimala issue. After Supreme Court allowed women's entry in Sabarimala shrine, Kerala saw divided public opinion. While Left Front-led state government was in favour of women's entry inside the shrine, BJP and a few religious bodies opposed Supreme Court's decision.
BJP candidate Kummanam Rajasekharan said, "For development of the state and welfare of its people,I think Kerala should move along with NDA govt in Delhi. Now that Kerala is coming up in mainstream, I am very much confident that I will win in this election."
The Election Commission (EC) will display poll results on digital boards in various parts of the state.
7:00 am: In 2014 Lok Sabha Polls, Kerala voter turnout was 73.9 per cent.
6:50 am: Congress President Rahul Gandhi is contesting from Kerala's Wayanad and is one of the most prominent candidates along with senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor.
6:40 am: The voting percentage in Kerala was recorded to be 70.63 per cent.
