A day after legendary actress Sridevi's sudden demise in Dubai, an autopsy report issued by authorities on Monday has given birth to several debates and controversies over her dramatic death.
Earlier, on Sunday, it was widely reported that the actress breathed her last due to a cardiac arrest, but the forensic report released on Monday suggests something different, which has left the entire film fraternity in grave shock.
According to the report, Sridevi lost her balance under the influence of alcohol and died after falling into a bathtub.

Following the completion of post-mortem analysis, #DubaiPolice today stated that the death of Indian actress #Sridevi occurred due to drowning in her hotel apartment’s bathtub following loss of consciousness.

Amidst this fresh twist, added to the unexpected death of the actress, Dubai Police Prosecutor called Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor and the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel staff to conduct a brief questioning session. It was in effort to get a clear idea of the exact circumstances which led to the drowning of the actress.
The investigators are also reportedly looking into Sridevi's phone call records.
Meanwhile, the details of the forensic report have caused additional delay in the clearance for repatriation on Monday and Sridevi's body is yet to be sent for emblaming.

If latest media reports turn out to be true, her mortal remains will reach Mumbai at around 5 am on Tuesday only after clearance from Dubai Prosecution magistrate.

Sridevi was in Dubai to attend nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding along with husband Boney and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and breathed her last in the wee hours of Sunday.

Meanwhile, millions of heartbroken fans gathered outside her Mumbai residence to catch a final glimpse of the Chandni actress before her cremation. The funeral is expected to take place at Juhu's Pawan Hans crematorium on Tuesday.
