Disha Patani, who is busy promoting her upcoming movie Baaghi 2, has stated that Tiger Shroff is her only friend in Mumbai and that she is unaffected by her dating rumors with him.
Apparently, there have been reports that Tiger and Disha have been dating each other for a while. Besides, their chemistry during Baaghi 2 promotions has also made the rumors about their love affair go rife.
However, during her recent interview with Indian Express, Disha said that isn't bothered by these rumors as she is more focused on her work and that the two are only good friends.
“I don’t think it matters at all. When you are on set, you are just there focussed and thinking about your role and character. I don’t think such things matter at all,” Disha was quoted as saying.
The actress also mentioned that Tiger is her old and only friend in Mumbai. She added, "Actually, I have no friends in the industry, I am friends only with the Shroffs. Tiger and I have a platonic relationship. He is helpful and humble, and that comes from his family. This was something I figured after meeting his parents. They both are down to earth. I am happy to have this family as my friends. I know they will readily help me at all times. Tiger is my only friend in Mumbai".
"We both like to dance and work out. He's a thousand times better than me at both, but we connect through them. I am hanging out with him all the time, perhaps that's why we get spotted together everywhere. So, people probably feel that we're in a relationship. We're friends and there is nothing more to the story. If I hang out with another guy, probably, people will say I left Tiger for him," she added.
Notably, Baaghi 2 happens to be the second instalment of the popular 2016 release Baaghi featuring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead.
While Tiger continues to play the lead role in the second instalment of the Baaghi franchise, Disha has replaced Shraddha as the female lead of the movie.
Helmed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 2 also stars Prateik Babbar, Manoj Bajpayee and Randeep Hooda in key roles. The movie is scheduled to release on March 30.
