From Arms Act case to hit-and-run: Salman Khan and cases against him

Actor Salman Khan on Wednesday was given relief from the Arms Act case by a court in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The court said that the evidences against him were not strong enough. Well the case was regarding the killing of a dear during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain, in the year 1998. The act involved using unlicensed weapon. The arms act linked the other cases linked to poaching of black buck.

Blackbuck hunting case

On February 17, 2016, Salman Khan was sentenced one year prison for hunting Chinkara. The sentence was stayed by a higher court. On April 10, 2006, with a five-year jail term he was remanded to Jodhpur jail and on April 13, he was given bail. Salman khan was acquitted in blackbuck and chinkara case by Rajasthan High Court on July 24, 2016. On October 18, 2016, Rajasthan Government turned to approach Supreme Court against khan’s acquittal in chinkara and black buck poaching case.

Hit and Run Case

In September 2002, Salman Khan was convicted for killing a homeless man with his SUV when he had been driving after drinking. Five year prison was sentenced for him which was suspended by the Bombay High Court.
