New Delhi :

Filmmaker Anurag Basu has confirmed that Govinda is no more a part of his upcoming directorial 'Jagga Jasoos' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Basu stated that Govinda's role, which was said be a cameo in the movie, was cut down due to some changes in the script.

Interestingly, it's been a couple of days when Govinda surprised everyone with his unrecognisable avatar from Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's upcoming movie 'Jagga Jasoos'. Indeed his 'oh-so-different' avatar got the tinselvile buzzing with everyone eager to watch him on the big screen.

However, soon came the reports of Govinda's role being dropped from the movie as a part of some last minute changes in the script.

While the speculations were about whether Govinda is a part of 'Jagga Jasoos' or not, Anurag Basu clarified that though Govinda did shot a portion of the movie, he is not a part of it.

"I've shot a couple of days with him in the first schedule. Then there were changes in the story and other things. But Govinda isn't in the film, his part isn't there," Anurag was quoted as saying.

"It was very kind of him to agree when I requested him for the guest appearance. But it's our loss that he isn't there," he added.

Apparently, there are reports that Govinda's role has been chopped off due his 'unprofessional behaviour'. However, no official statement was released in this regard.

Also starring Sayani Gupta in a key role, 'Jagga Jasoos' will hit the screens on July 14.
