As the B-town along with the entire world has welcome the year 2017, looks like this New Year has brought along the break-up effect along with it, as a celeb couple has announced their separation on New Year.
We are talking about Bollywood actress Nandita Das who has decided to part ways with her husband Subodh Maskara.
The couple was married for seven years and have a six year old son Vihaan.
Nandita Das confirmed the news to a leading daily and said that the decision to call off their wedding was mutual
“Yes, it is true. Subodh and I have decided to separate. Thankfully, it is very amicable. Our son is our foremost priority and as parents of a delightful and sensitive child we request that his and our privacy be respected. There’s nothing to hide and there’s nothing more to be said.”
She hopes they will be left alone to deal with the situation in peace," Nandita told a daily.
She further asserted that it is easy to get separate for a couple especially when they have a child.
"For us, our son is our main concern and we are committed to ensuring his well-being,” she added.
Earlier, 2016 too had started on a similar note with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif breaking up early last year.
This was followed by a series of break-ups in tinselvile.
We wonder if this too is a beginning of another break-up series. Hope not.
