Sanjay Dutt has cleared the air about the third instalment of the popular Munna Bhai series and said that director Raju Hirani is yet to begin working on it.
There were reports that Hirani will be coming up with Munna Bhai Chale America starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi in the lead. In fact, a teaser was also released saying that the third instalment of the movie will be based on Munna's America trip.
However, Sanjay Dutt has clarified that Munna Bhai 3 will not be based on the similar lines as he can't get an American Visa.
"I don’t think so. Since I can’t get an American Visa, it’s not going to happen," the actor was quoted as saying.
He further stated that the makers will begin working on Munna Bhai 3 post the completion of Dutt's biopic.
"As far as I know from the conversations with Rajuji and Vinodji, scripting is going on right now. As soon as they finish shooting for the biopic (on Sanjay Dutt), Rajuji will start working on the script (of Munna Bhai) himself. And I am hoping by everyone’s wishes and God’s grace, the film will be ready by next year," Sanjay Dutt added.
Currently, Sanjay Dutt is busy promoting his comeback movie Bhoomi.
Talking about the same, “I am not feeling nervous. The trailer has been appreciated and people have also liked the songs, but I hope people like the film, since we have all worked hard for it. It is a commercial entertainer with a message.”
Helmed by Omung Kumar, Bhoomi also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharad Kelkar in the lead and is slated to release in September 22.
